Clinician

Beth Powell, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist, certified academic educator, neuro-behavioral educator, program consultant, speaker, trainer, and mediator. She has helped families with special needs children for over 30 years. Her practice, Child-in-Family Services, is in Conroe, TX, of the greater Houston North Metropolitan area.

Beth was a mental health consultant with Texas Head Start Programs for 15 years and was an assistant director with Houston’s Infant Programs, an Early Childhood Intervention Program for special needs children. She has provided consultation and/or training for schools and organizations in Texas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Mexico and Africa.

Beth is licensed in the state of Texas to evaluate and treat mental health issues with children, teens, adults and couples. She is a Texas CEU training provider and Texas social worker supervisor. She has created a unique time and cost-effective child-in-family approach that includes the child’s caregivers as part of the treatment team. She evaluates children in their family or in their school setting from a behavioral, neuro-behavioral, bio-chemical, social and academic perspective to create individualized programs to help them reach their full potential.
