Terms of Agreement for Pro-Bono Workshop:
Building Better Brains through Neuro-Behavioral Therapy

Learning objectives for CEU credit are responsibility of contractor. 4. Announcement for workshop flyer is below. If editing is necessary, please send editorial drafts to info@childinfamily.us : "Certain therapeutic movements through HANDLE© can significantly help re-pattern brains traumatized by neglect and abuse and help remove the neurodevelopmental barriers to bonding. Understand "why" these movements along with dietary considerations make such a difference with those whose attachment relationships are compromised or who have behavioral challenges. This program is equally beneficial for individuals with brain injury, fetal alcohol/drug effects, autism, bipolar disorder, ADD/ADHD, PTSD and OCD, etc. The success of this no-tech-at-all, simple, cost and time-effective brain repatterning program has been published! See the December/January 2006 issue of Adoption Today or the January/February issue of Fostering Families Today for the article titled, Behavior Change Proved . What many parents and providers already knew about this program now has been proven in the residential setting. Workshop facilitator Beth Powell, LCSW, provides neuro-behavioral and psychological treatment and training in the greater Houston Metropolitan area. See www.childinfamily.us . For more information about the HANDLE Approach, see www.handle.org . 5. This pro-bono workshop is offered to referring organizations in the Houston Metropolitan area. Mileage from Conroe to downtown Houston, and within a 15 minute drive east, west or north of Conroe is paid for by Child-in-Family Services. Mileage beyond these points in the Houston Metropolitan area would be paid for by the contractor.6. Paperwork needed by the contractor will be signed/completed by the facilitator at the workshop. 7. Facilitator needs an overhead projector for clear transparencies, monitor and VCR. For an audience demonstration, facilitator needs to have cups with at least 8 oz. of water available for each audience participant. 8. Handouts are the responsibility of the contractor. Facilitator will get copies of the handouts to the contractor by the date designated by the contractor. 9. Date, time and topic will be confirmed between contractor and Beth Powell, LCSW, contractee. As soon as date and time are established between the two parties, contractor will complete bottom of this form and immediately submit agreement via e-mail to Child-in-Family Services. 10. Barring no deaths or natural disaster, facilitator and contractor agree to give each other at least one week's notice (7 business days) of cancellation of workshop. 11. Contractor may not charge attendees of workshop. This workshop is pro-bono. Contractor may charge attendees for CEU credit. 12. At least 10 people must be in attendance at workshop. 13. Space permitting, contractor agrees to allow attendees from outside their organization attend workshop. 14. Scheduled workshop will be posted on Child-in-Family Services web site.
